Your journey, day by day

  • Day 1: ceremony

The ceremony will be held outside the city of Cusco, so as not to have contact with the Catholic religion, since it is a mystical and non-Catholic ceremony.

Generally, Andean marriage ceremonies begin in the morning, traveling to Quillarumiyoc, to perform the ceremony only during the morning. Then, if the couple wishes, they can carry out the Catholic and civil ceremony, according to their program.

Normally, we perform the ceremony at the Quillarumiyoc Archaeological Center; a place of great power and energy, where the vital liquid that is favorable for performing the ceremony is also present. On the other hand, it is a magnetic religious center, because it is said that the place was a temple to perform ceremonies to Mama quilla (Mother Moon) and for all these reasons, it is considered by us as a place with many positive qualities for our ceremonies. But, the possibility is not ruled out that those interested choose a place that they see as convenient to carry out the ceremonies.

The ceremony begins in Quillarumiyoc, at 9:30 in the morning and will last about three and a half hours, taking place with the Ceremony of Purification and Flowering, followed by the Ceremony of the Four Elements: Water, Fire, Air and Earth. Also, in the act of the ceremony, the Ceremony of the Dispatch or Offering to the Pacha mama will be carried out, which consists of giving a marriage offering, so that the Pacha mama protects the Sacred Union that is taking place. The ceremony is complemented by a series of activities to confirm the union in the eyes of our Andean Gods, which can be:

CHURACUY RING (Wedding of Rings): The rings must be made of silver or gold, it does not matter if it is only plated, so each of these metals has its meaning that will be revealed to you at the agency.

SUCHI TIYRAY (Exchange of Gifts):In this case, there is a series of exchanges of clothing (presents) that the man and the woman make to each other. The type of product to be exchanged will be explained to you at the agency, since each product will have a special meaning that only you will know at the time of the ceremony.

T'INKAY (Toast of Honor): This ceremony is carried out with a toast of Andean drinks that will serve to fortify the marital union from then on.

MERIENDA (bufet): This is the act of feeding that is offered to thank the guests and is made up of Andean snacks and even a main dish. (This part of the ceremony is optional.
