About this experience
Travel the Salkantay route in four days of continuous adventure. From Soraypampa and the snow-capped Humantay to the Salkantay pass, you descend through Chaullay and the humid jungle until you reach Aguas Calientes to spend the night in a hotel.
On the fourth day you visit Machu Picchu with a guide and return to Cusco by train. Includes camping, full meals, porters and prior information talk.
For trekkers with good physical shape who want the Salkantay experience in fewer days.

Your journey, day by day

Day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa – Huayracmachay
We pick up at 04.30 AM from your respective hotels, we leave Cusco at 05.00 AM passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at Mollepata where we will be at approximately 08:00 am, where we will have our breakfast.
We board the bus again from Mollepata to Marqoquasa for 45 minutes, then we will begin the walk to the viewpoint where we can appreciate the snow-capped Humantay and Inca canals, then we will continue for the time of 03:30 hours to the lunch point and camp of Soraypampa.

Day 2: Soraymapa – Salkantay – Chaullay
At 05:00 am we will prepare to enjoy breakfast and then continue with our walk at 06.30 am, making a gradual ascent of 04 hours to the point of the Salkantay pass located at 4650 meters above sea level. On that journey we will be able to pass through 02 important points of history (Salkantay – pampa and soyroq'ocha) in the pass we will make a small offering with coca leaves towards our pachamama and the Salkantay apu, and we will talk about the history and religion of the Incas.
We make the descent for 02.30 minutes towards the Huayrac-pampa lunch point where we will spend 01.30 minutes tasting lunch, we continue the walk from 4100 meters above sea level to 2900 meters above sea level for the time of 03.30 minutes this whole journey in eyebrow of jungle arriving at the camp called Chaullay where we will have our tea and dinner

Day 3: Chaullay – Sahuayaco Beach – Santa Teresa
We will have our breakfast at 06:00 am, then we will walk for 05:30 hours all through our edge of the jungle with flat ascents and descents, on this journey we will appreciate coffee plantations, orchids, begoneas, bromeliads and many natural plants used for natural medicine, arriving at our lunch point Playa Sahuayaca where we will have lunch, then we will take a transport to the hydro-electric plant and then walk for 3 hours towards waters hot, where we will spend the night in a hostel and have the last dinner in a restaurant.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco
In the early morning around 4.30 in the morning we will ascend towards the majestic Inca city of Machupicchu where we will visit accompanied by our guide for approximately 2 hours, and the rest of the day is free in which you can visit Huayna Picchu, Inti Punku, temple of the moon or simply visit the entire citadel once again, we return in the afternoon to the town of Machupicchu town depending on the schedule of our return train which we will announce once you book your trip with our company.

Important information
- Minimum acclimatization of 2 days in Cusco before starting; drink coca tea.
- Day 2 is the most demanding: 7–8 hours of hiking with great elevation gain.
- Hire a sleeping bag for -10°C or bring your own.
- Carry trekking poles; The descent into the jungle is prolonged.
