Pick up at a hotel in the center of Cusco (9:00 a.m., day 1)

Your journey, day by day

  • Day 1: Cusco – Chichero

    Our great adventure will begin by picking you up from your hotel at 9:00 am, then we will go in our tourist transport to the district of Chinchero, located 35 minutes from the city of Cusco, and then enter a dirt road until we reach the community of Ocutuan – Umasbamba, where our host family will be waiting for us.

    Once we arrive at the place, we will have a great welcome from the host family, who will be waiting for us. They will show all the rooms of the house including our bedroom, we will have the morning free to get to know our host family more.

    In the afternoon we will have a delicious typical lunch made with community products, and then we will share all the daily activities that the family does such as: herding animals, collecting firewood, working on the land, etc.

    After a delicious dinner, we will spend the night in our new family's house.

  • Day 2: Cusco

    After a delicious breakfast, our host family will show us in greater detail the entire community, its typical streets, its church, its people.

    We will continue with our typical activities, in which we will include a beautiful demonstration of Andean textiles made by our host family, in the same way they will teach us this wonderful art that was inherited from the Incas, we will learn, from cutting sheep wool, to the process of dyeing, weaving and final finishing of a textile.

    Similarly we will have the opportunity to buy crafts made by our new family, and take them as gifts to our loved ones at home.

    After a delicious lunch, we will say goodbye to our host family, to go back to the City of Cusco.
