Dia 1: Cusco – Andahuaylillas
The tour begins in the morning towards the South East of Cusco, the first place to visit is the church of Andahuaylillas, considered the Sistine of America for the wealth of mural art it contains, it is awarded the name of San Pedro Apóstol. Later, the tour continues at the Churches of San Juan Bautista de Huaro and Virgen Purifica de Canincunca, all of them located in picturesque indigenous villages surrounded by all the Andean nature under a welcoming view of the snow-capped Ausangate (6372 meters above sea level).
Important information
- Respect church rules: no flash indoors and modest clothing.
- Entrance fees to the churches are paid on site (approx. S/10–15 each).
- Wear a light coat; The southern towns are cooler than Cusco.
- Ideal to combine with typical lunch en route (not included).
